The lone 2023 verbal commitment for the Miami Hurricanes came up big for his team in its biggest rivalry game of the season last Friday night.

Lamar Seymore, a junior wide receiver at Miami Central, caught six passes for 133 yards and a touchdown as Central topped rival Miami Northwestern 24-21 at Traz Powell Stadium in front of Hurricanes head coach Manny Diaz.

Seymore had a key catch late in the game to set Central up for the game-winning field goal as time expired.

Miami 2022 wide receiver verbal commitment Isaiah Horton had a big game in front of Hurricanes wide receivers coach Rob Likens last Friday. Horton had 176 receiving yards and two touchdowns in Murfreesboro (Tn.) Oakland’s 63-36 win over Murfreesboro Blackman.

The performance was Horton’s best of his senior season thus far.

2022 wide receiver verbal commitment Landon Ibieta continues to do it all for his high school team in Louisiana. Ibieta caught eight passes for 75 yards and a touchdown and rushed six times for 64 yards and another touchdown in Mandeville’s 36-35 loss to Slidell.

2022 quarterback verbal commitment Jacurri Brown had a monster first half in Valdosta (Ga.) Lowndes’ homecoming game. Brown tossed four touchdown passes in the first half alone and finished with 187 yards passing as the Vikings rolled to a 34-7 win over Covington (Ga.) Alcovy.

In Alabama, Miami 2022 cornerback verbal commitment Trequon Fegans made two tackles and broke up two passes in Thompson’s 49-7 victory over Vestavia Hills.
