The 2022 recruiting cycle for Miami is going to start heating up this week, as 4-star quarterback Jacurri Brown (Lowndes High School, Valdosta, GA) is set to make his announcement this Friday at 9:30 AM. You can watch the announcement on CBS Sports HQ. Brown is deciding between Miami, Texas A&M, Auburn, Florida State and Arizona State.

Brown payed his way and visited Miami this past weekend, spending time on the UM campus as well as meeting community leaders in South Florida.
247 Sports has Brown listed as the #5 dual-threat quarterback in the 2022 cycle, #20 player in Georgia and #167 player nationally.

As a junior, Brown threw for 1,537 yards and 14 touchdowns, and was just as effective running the football, rushing for 1,101 yards and 16 touchdowns. In three years, Brown has rushed for 44 scores.
Told the kids Sunday that Jacurri Brown is the type of guy I want in the program. The #1 DT QB in the country, who could play for any 7v7 team in the world chose to rep his city and area code. He shows up to practice and doesn’t act like he’s better than anyone. #229Family pic.twitter.com/hbXf2rh1jM

If you haven’t read it yet, I wrote a piece on why I believe Jacurri would be a good fit for Miami’s offense.

Another recruit that went down to Miami with Jacurri this last weekend, was 3-star ATH Isaiah Bond (Buford High School, Buford, GA).

247 Sports has Bond listed as the #32 ATH in the 2022 class and #33 player in Georgia. As a junior he helped Buford go 13-1 and capture the Georgia AAAAAA state championship.
UPDATE: Miami has received a Crystal Ball for 3 ⭐️ 2022 talent Isaiah Bond. The Crystal Ball came from 247 national writer Steve Wiltfong with a “6” confidence score.

Bond has played both ways in high school, though Miami is currently recruiting him as a wide receiver. Bond recently released a top 5 which included Miami, Alabama, Georgia, Wisconsin and Pittsburgh.

Bond has been a popular name recently in recruiting, and made more headlines by posting an impressive 10.59 time in the 100-meter in late February. Then, at the Pylon 7-on-7 tournament, Bond worked with Jacurri Brown, and the two had a connection in the passing game.

At wide receiver, Bond is the definition of a deep-ball threat with his incredible speed. In the state championship game, Bond hauled in two touchdown passes.

Miami seemed to be the clear favorite to land Bond, though recently his thoughts may have shifted after receiving offers from Alabama and Georgia. Both the Bulldogs and the Crimson Tide have Bond high on their targets for 2022 cornerbacks, but Bond told reporters he sees himself playing on offense in college.
