Welcome to another weekend of Official Visits, recruiting fans! Your Miami Hurricanes are hosting another round of visitors in the pursuit of building the 2022 recruiting class with top end talent.

With no further ado, let’s look at the list of players taking visits to Miami this weekend.

Official Visitors

Valdosta (GA) Lowndes 4-star QB Jacurri Brown. The leader of this class, Miami’s blue-chip QB will be taking his OV to Miami this weekend. His commitment is solid but the real point of this visit is to be an additional recruiter to get other players to join him in this class. Let’s work, Jacurri!

Gainesville (FL) Buchholz 3-star WR Quan Lee. The 2nd commitment in Miami’s 2022 class, Lee joins his QB Brown, and others, on campus this weekend. That works for me.

Plantation (FL) American Heritage 4-star CB Jacolby Spells. A former WR turned CB, Spells is a rising prospect that many P5 teams are chasing. Miami was one of the first schools to seriously pursue Spells, but work will still need to be done to get him into this class.

Ft. Worth (TX) Brewer 5-star DT Bear Alexander. Another week with another big (literal and metaphorical) visitor from out of State. Alexander is one of the best DTs in America, and his OV to Miami caps a 5-day visit to South Florida. Alexander recently decommitted from Georgia, and most signs point to him picking Jimbo Fisher and Texas A&M. But, Alexander’s dad is a big Miami fan, and stranger things have happened. Let’s get him on campus and see what shakes.

Orange Park (FL) Winter Park 4-star WR Jayden Gibson. One of Miami’s top targets at WR — and one that Jacurri Brown REALLY wants to join him in this class — will be on campus this weekend. Gibson is a tall WR at 6’4” with good speed. There are plenty of other teams chasing Gibson but this is Miami’s chance to make a big move with the talented pass catcher.

Murfeesboro (TN) Oakland 4-star WR Isaiah Horton. Oh look, another talented 6’3” pass catcher is on the visit list for this weekend. Here’s a prospect Alabama is high on recruiting this cycle, so that should tell you everything you need to know about Horton’s talent. This is his only Spring/Summer OV on the schedule to this point, but trust and believe that other visits will be forthcoming.

Buford (GA) 3-star WR Isaiah Bond. This Florida Gators commit will be coming to campus with fellow Georgia native Jacurri Brown this weekend. Bond is a speedy receiver with good potential, but he’s committed elsewhere. WE’ll see how things go with him, and the other WRs on this weekend’s visit.

Bellvue (NE) West 3-star TE Kaden Helms. Miami’s pursuit of a dynamic pass catching TE in this class continues with Helms coming out from the Midwest. Visits to Oklahoma and North Carolina loom in coming weeks.

Manvel (TX) 3-star LB Justin Medlock. Miami is still looking for athletic LBs as the Canes try to upgrade the roster. Medlock fits the bill, and will be down in Coral Gables to see if being a Hurricane is the thing for him.

Duncanville (TX) 3-star OT Cameron Williams. Yet another Texan on the visit list this weekend, Williams (who has a GREAT first name, by the way) is a massive OT prospect at 6’5” 360lbs. Many teams are pursuing Williams, so don’t expect a decision this weekend.

Orlando (FL) Boone 3-star OT Layton Nelson. Oh look, another OL prospect on the visitor’s list. This is clearly because Miami desires to upgrade the OL over time, and that starts with getting the kind of big, physical players you need to see future growth. Could Nelson be one of those guys? We’ll see.

Sandersville (GA) Washington County unranked OT Falentha Carswell. A late addition to the list, Carswell is an interesting prospect. As detailed by Manny Navarro of The Athletic, the 6’7” 275lb Carswell is unranked for one reason: he’s never played football before. The cousin of former NFL TE Dwayne Carswell, Falentha, whose nickname is Flip, focused his talents on the hardwood as a standout basketball player. But, Carswell will transition to the gridiron this fall for his HSFB team, and has the athleticism to be an intriguing prospect down the line, even if he will need to develop skill. A very interesting visit, this.

Away Games

4-star LB Wesley Bissainthe - Penn State. Among Miami’s top overall targets in this class, Bissainthe will go up to Happy Valley as PSU is undoubtedly leveraging ace Florida recruit JaJuan Seider to try and make a move with this uber-talented defender.

4-star OT Julian Armella - Alabama. Nick Saban has a long history of coming to SoFLA to pilfer top receiver talent. Now he’ s trying to get the top OL talent as well. I wish he’d retire already. DAMN.

4-star S Markeith Williams - Nebraska. One of the best Safeties in this class will be going out to Lincoln for a visit. It will be his last visit to Nebraska if he’s smart. (they’re REAL BAD, you guys)

4-star EDGE Nyjalik Kelly - Indiana. Truth be told, Kelly is too good to end up at Indiana. But good on the Hoosiers for making the connection with him before his profile blew up, and getting a visit from Kelly is a landmark day for their program. You love to see it. (but, after you see it, you’d love to see Kelly end up elsewhere.....like Miami, for instance)

4-star ATH JaCorey Thomas - Georgia. This multi-talented ATH will be in Athens to check out Kirby Smart’s bulldogs on a big visit weekend for UGA.

3-star ATH/TE Anthony Jones - Texas. Jones wants to play TE in college. Miami is offering him there. Texas, and others, want Jones as an EDGE. We’ll see which way he ends up going. Jones visited Miami last weekend.

3-star CB Jordan Allen - Louisville. One of Miami’s top targets at DB, Allen will visit an ACC foe this weekend after spending last weekend in Coral Gables.

3-star LB Omar Graham Jr. - Florida State. A week after visiting Coral Gables, Graham Jr. is going up the road a ways to visit the Noles in Tallahassee.

3-star OT Jacob Hood - Georgia. Hood is a massive OT at 6’8” 342lbs and just announced his top 5, which included both Miami and Georgia. Lots of SEC competition for this Nashville native.

3-star OT Daughtry Richardson - Florida State. This Miami native will be joining Graham Jr. on an OV to Tallahassee this weekend. Worth watching.

Visits are heating up. Man, I really, REALLY missed recruiting. I’m very glad it’s back.

Remember to vote in the poll, and let’s chat about your favorite prospects in the comments section, as well.
