The end is here, Canes fam.

The College Football Playoff National Championship game is tonight. #1 seed Michigan Wolverines vs #2 seed Washington Huskies. A pair of undefeated teams. Traditional Rose Bowl rivals from decades past. And now, they meet in Houston with the winner cementing their legacy as the 2024 National Champion.

There are plenty of storylines to watch. Can Jim Harbaugh lead his alma mater to their first National Championship since Charles Woodson’s Heisman Trophy season of 1997? Can Kalen DeBoer, reunited with his former Indiana QB Michael Penix Jr, return the Huskies to the top of the CFB world like it’s 1991 (....a year they claim the title even though THE MIAMI HURRICANES won the Championship that year)? And, I mean, there are more storylines, but I’m sure you’ve read articles and listened to podcasts and watched TV shows and know all about them.

As for me, I’m putting my Miami alum fandom to the side for a night. I grew up in Michigan. I’ve been to the Big House more times than I can count. My uncle Bill went to Michigan. Half my graduating class from Cranbrook (yes, that Cranbrook) went to Michigan. So tonight, I’m a kid again, rooting for the home-state school to bring the trophy home! As soon as the game ends, however, I’m back focused on Miami, but tonight? GO BLUE, BABY!!!!!

Who are you rooting for? What do you want to see (other than Miami playing in this game, eventually)? What’s your viewing setup looking like? What’s on the menu? And, on tap?

Let us in on your prep to watch the final CFB game of the year, and discuss along with your internet friends as the action unfolds.

Talk soon. And, even with my rooting for Michigan TONIGHT, y’all know what time it is.
