This was a long time coming. Miami is looking at other higher profile targets at RB in this cycle, and to do so, dropping Thompson was a necessity. While we wish Bentavious the best in his future endeavors, this is an addition by subtraction for the 2017 recruiting class, pending Miami closing on one of the more premium RB targets on the board, that is.

Play for Miami Carol City High School he earned third-team All-State honors following senior season and led the team with 25 receptions for 600 yards and 12 touchdowns as a senior, he also amassed 450 yards on 12 kickoff returns with one touchdown. Along with football Santana Moss ran track and was a two-time state champion in the triple jump and won state title in the long jump during junior season, he set a school record in the triple jump with leap of 48'6". He was coached in football by Walt Frazier. Captured Class 6A state championship title in the triple jump as a senior with distance of 48.3 meters...two-time first-team All-Dade County in the long and triple jump...went undefeated in both the long and triple jump, claiming state crowns in both events while leading team to state title.

Canes legend Bennie Blades to attend Paradise Camp

Wile the tweet announces that former Canes S Bennie Blades (who I grew up rooting for on the Lions) will be attending Paradise, it's unclear as to whether he's just hanging out or coaching. In any event, that's another Canes alum on the list attending. Oh, AND HE USED MY ARTICLE AS THE LINK IN HIS ANNOUNCEMENT!!!!! WOOOOO!!!!
