Ereck Flowers
Junior - OL - 6'6 322 - Miami, Fla.
Flowers has been a bright spot for the offensive line since the first day he stepped foot onto the Coral Gables campus. Ranked a 4-star prospect coming out of Miami Norland High school, he held offers from top schools like Florida State and Ohio State. The only thing more consistent than his play on the field was his verbal commitment to Miami, as he never seemed to waver throughout the recruiting process.
Watch Flowers' performance against Georgia Tech in 2013:
Summary: The closer we get to fall camp, the more it seems that Miami will be starting an inexperienced quarterback behind center this season. With senior QB Ryan Williams not scheduled to return until later in the season, the surrounding cast will really have to step up if the 'Canes have any hopes in revenging last year's bowl loss to Louisville. The play of Flowers will be crucial for Miami's success, as he will certainly be listed as a starter. Miami will heavily depend on its running game this season, and teams will know that. It will be interesting to see how this offensive line responses, as their play could determine how the season goes for 'Canes fans.
